May I know if you have tried restarting your Nook? if not please try to restart your nook by following this steps Press and hold the power button for 20 seconds the device will shutdown after you have held the power button Once you see the screen go black you can release the power button. and then again you can try to start your nook when pushing the power button. Please let me know if it works for you.

I understand your concern if it is your WiFi password ***** you have to check with the person who has set the WiFi password ***** you can check with your Internet service provider.
