It won't accept my new password

Technician's Assistant: What brand and model of e-reader do you have?

I have the amazon one and I also have downloaded a Kindle which presents as an orange K for windows 10 which I have.

Technician's Assistant: How long has this been going on with your Kindle? What have you tried so far?

Just a couple of days. My computer wouldn't work so it decided to try and fix itself. I clicked on reset and wiped everything off my computer unfortunately. So I tried to download the Kindle from amazon again! since then it doesn't work.

Technician's Assistant: Anything else you want the E-reader Expert to know before I connect you?

That's about the lot. I think.

No thanks Harry, Amazon gave me a number to put in the box inside of 10 minutes. So luckily that worked. I didn't want to loose all my downloaded books.
