My Kindle refuses to...

My Kindle refuses to charge. It has been connected to the power source for hours. It is an older model - it has a small keyboard as well as the screen.

Technician's Assistant: How long has this been going on with your Kindle? What have you tried so far?

The battery has been completely flat because I have not used it for a few weeks.

don't bother with an answer. I think that probably the device is too old and I need a new one.
