I have a Fire...

I have a Fire HD 10 Tablet with Alexa, 10.1" HD Display, 16 GB, and cannot register it no matter what I do. I cannot deregister because it says it's never been registered. I have had it since December 2016 and have NEVER been able to register. Is there are way to restart the entire tablet? What do I do now? I am beyond frustrated with this thing.

Technician's Assistant: When did you last charge your Fire?

It is charged now. I have charged it off and on for months because I download docs onto it.

Technician's Assistant: Have you tried a force reboot (pressing and holding the power button for a minute)?

Yes, many times, if you mean turning it off and back on.

To reset your Kindle do the following.

  1. Swipe down from the top of the screen and tap Settings.
  2. Tap Device Options, and then tap Reset to Factory Defaults.
  3. Tap Reset to confirm.

After you reset you will be prompted to connect to WiFi and then register your device. Let me know the outcome. If this resolves your issue please take a moment to rate my service and submit at the top. If not reply back to me to continue.
