Phoned direct assistance but they were not in australia and could'nt help

I can't open the Kindle store because the device has been deregistered and wish to register it again.

The codes being sent are not accepted so i get another one which again doesn't work - about 18 times so far. I"m thoroughly dissatisfied with the whole process which I may add I was led to believe would cost me $5.00 but is now $39! I wish to cancel the whole transaction & have my money returned.
