My kindle keeps rebooting...

My kindle keeps rebooting, now a text box has appeared for the book I am half way through reading and every book on my kindle - "The item you were reading has been removed and is no longer available on your Kindle". Can you help?

Technician's Assistant: What's the make/model of your device? How old is it?

It is quite old, 5 years or perhaps more. Model No D01200

Technician's Assistant: How long has this been going on? What troubleshooting have you tried?

It has been going on for about a week but today is the first time the message appeared. I haven't done any troubleshooting yet, not sure what to do.

Technician's Assistant: Anything else you want the E-reader Expert to know before I connect you?

There was a security update in July this year but I wasn't quite sure what to do as it said connect to wifi - we are already on wifi.
