When I turn it on, swipe it comes up with a key pad and the image of what was on the "off" picture.
JA: What's the make/model of your device? How old is it?
Customer: just a minute. very hard to read it. it is either ev21 or ey21
JA: How long has this been going on? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: for a few days and I have tried just rebooting.
JA: Anything else you want the E-reader Expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: it has an experimental browser.

Release, then connect the charger and try to turn on the Kindle and use it.
