What do you wish to re-connect your credit card *to*? an Amazon.com account, a Kindle device, or something else, please?

kindle
Expert:  Russell H. replied 1 month ago.

OK. What model of Kindle is it, please? (And, it must be connected to WiFi and internet, to proceed from here, also.)

answer please

To connect your Kindle to your credit card, first:

1. it must be registered to your Amazon account, and

2. it must be online and connected to WiFi, and

3. it must be in Manage Your Content And Devices, and

4. from there you go to Settings, then to

Edit Payment Methods

then choose the credit card entry already entered there, if it just needs updating, and verify and/or correct (as needed) the details there. Perhaps if your credit card expired in 9/2017, on September 1st, then all you need to do is correct to the newly issued credit card's new expiration date.

Save that change, and you should have cured the problem and be capable of buying books on your Kindle again.

Let me know if (or, if not) that helps answer your question, please.

I must explain: there are varied types of procedures for varying Kindle models. I will need to know what Kindle model you have, to advise you exactly on how to proceed with the solution to this problem.

A Kindle Keyboard? when did you last use it to order books? sometime since March 2016, before now?

Customer: replied 1 month ago.
a lot
Expert:  Russell H. replied 1 month ago.

Then I think you will need to open your Web Browser in your Kindle keyboard, and access a web page, to update your credit card details. I regret that there is no more convenient method.

Can you search for

https://www.amazon.com/mycd

on your Kindle. It ought to open Web Browser, and bring you to the Manage Your Content And Devices page.
