Thats fine, just so I can guide you through the process. What you would do here is assign the kindle to her account, so she will need to set up her own amazon account if she does not have one already. Then she can make her own purchases. She would not have access to your account or your books.

What you'll do is go into the MENU,

then to settings, and then you should see an option for Account, or Deregister.

Once you deregister it, then it is no longer linked to your account, and you can, in the same area, put in her account info (it will need to be on her wifi network for her to use it at her home) and she can then go about buying her own books under her kindle account.

If you'd like, you can also "loan" her some of your kindle books, for up to 2 weeks at a time.

No, they do not.

If you want her to have your books, then you would have to leave it on your account. Those are your books and stay with your account. They don't belong to the kindle device, so they would be removed if you change it over to her account.
