I have a Amazon Fire HD10 and it will not change any more.

Customer Question

I have a Amazon Fire HD10 and it will not change any more. The plug on the kindle will not hold the plug that does in and therefore, it will not charge. I tried to find a local person to work on it but could not. One did tell me that part is worn out. Everything else works. Can you help me.
JA: Have you tried different power sources or a different wall adapter (the part of the charger with prongs)?
Customer: Yes, I have 3 cords and adapters and it still will not work. I even tried the one in my car no luck.
JA: Is the charging port of your Fire clean, with the small tab inside unbent?
Customer: Yes, it is clean. One of the techs look at it and said it was not dirty just looks worn.
JA: Anything else you want the Android expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: Not unless you know more questions to ask me.

Welcome, I am Cory.

How long have you had the Kindle?

Customer: replied 2 months ago.
2-3 yrs
Expert:  Cory replied 2 months ago.

Because you have had it longer than a year it is not under warranty.

I am sorry, I wish I had better news.

You can contact them at 1-***-***-**** and they should offer you a discount on a replacement.

If you want to try to fix it, it will cost almost as much as the Kindle to do so.

I wish I had better news for you.

Let me know if you have any questions.
