My husband passed away in November
JA: What's the make/model of your device? How old is it?
Customer: I would like to consolidate both our accounts on my name so I can access my library etc
JA: How long has this been going on? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: I have two accounts - one in my name and one in my husbands name - my kindles are all in his name - I have changed my Amazon account but kindle account is not accessible
JA: Anything else you want the eReader expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: not at this time I have also forgotten our passwords

I am sorry to hear that you are having this problem with your Amazon account. It sounds like you simply, need to reset your password. So, please go ahead and follow the instructions that I typed for you below.

Please, follow the instructions below to reset your Amazon account password:

- Fill out the requested information on that page and continue.
- Once that is complete, you will be able to reset your password.

They said the advice was free - so it was a ploy to get me to sign up ??
