I've been hacked by a man with an Indian accent who answered

Customer Question

I've been hacked by a man with an Indian accent who answered when I dialed the Kindle number.
JA: What's the make/model of your device? How old is it?
Customer: My kindle is quite a few years old, I'm not sure how old. But its been working fine until today, when I found that all the books I'd downloaded for $1.99 are now reclassified as "samples" instead of whole books. This is a scam.
JA: How long has this been going on? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: I can't guage the time. But I called the Kindle number online and was connected to a man with an Indian accent who instead of addressing the question, seemed to be leading me into a further scam.
JA: Anything else you want the eReader expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: That's it. But hed better not have an Indian accent

Do you have the number that you called so I can verify whether it was indeed Amazon or the wrong number?
