Customer Question

Hi
JA: Hi. How can we help?
Customer: my kindle has lost its touch sensitivity - it is only about 4 years old but now it is very difficult to turn the page
JA: What's the make/model of your device? How old is it?
Customer: just checking
JA: How long has this been going on? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: it is a Kindle 5.8.5.0.2 and the touch function has been progressively deteriorating over the last week. I checked the settings function to see what options are available but none relate to the touch screen.
JA: Anything else you want the eReader expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: that's all I can tell you

Welcome, I am Cory. Thank you for asking your question today.

Please follow these steps:

Carefully clean the screen of the Kindle with a lightly damp cloth.

Once you clean it, please press in and hold the on button/power switch for 40 seconds to reset it.

Please try to see if it is working better after you do the steps above.

Please let me know the outcome.
