I've 2 kindles the older one will not connect to my internet. Can you talk me thru getting it set? the newer second kindle will not let me delete read books from the
JA: What's the make/model of your device? How old is it?
Customer: newer one was received last Christmas it's from amazon 7" tablet
JA: How long has this been going on? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: recently trying to remove read books the older is 7 years old it does have the black square with the option to remove from device.

Try these steps on your Kindle> press and hold the power button for 20 seconds and then release. Then when the kindle powers back on>

  • Then try connecting to Wi-Fi
  • Select Wi-Fi.
  • Ensure Wireless Networking switch is in the on position.
  • Your home network should appear in the list.
  • Tap the name of your network. A lock symbol will appear next to your network .
  • Enter the characters of the password ***** the onscreen keyboard.
  • If you need help locating your password ***** me know.
  • Then Tap Connect.
