Customer: I have just tried overnight to charge my kindle and it seems the battery won't charge. I assume it needs a battery transplant. How do I do it?
JA: What's the make/model of your device? How old is it?
Customer: I'm just trying to pull it up. I can't find the details. Any Clues. Its about 2-3yrs old
JA: How long has this been going on? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: ll I have tried is the 3horizonal bars on the right hand side of the screen.
JA: Anything else you want the eReader expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: Can't think of any except I am fairly computer and kindle illiterate.

This may be caused by a glitch in the firmware and can be resolved by a forced reboot, then your kindle will work normally again. Slide or press and hold the power switch for 40 seconds, then release.
