The date and time need to be reset on my Kindle Fire HD. Can you help with this, please? Garlene
JA: What's the make/model of your device? How old is it?
Customer: Kindle Fire HD Version 8.5.1 It is 2 or 3 years old.
JA: How long has this been going on? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: It was this way when I turned it on this am. I talked to one support tech earlier today, but internet was so slow he gave up. He was impatient and I was frustrated!
JA: Anything else you want the ereader expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: Not sure...just meed a patient person to work with me...I am not tech savy much...

To do this

  1. Swipe down from the top of the screen and then tap Settings.
  2. Tap Device Options, and then tap Date & Time.
  3. If Automatic Time Zone is turned On, your device will use a Wi-Fi or Mobile network (if available for the device) to determine the time zone. If you want to select your time zone manually, tap Offnext to Automatic Time Zone, and then tap Select Time Zone. Select your time zone from the list that appears.
