my volume control is very weak, ive had this kindle fire for about two years. It was purchased at Kmart in Bullhead City, AZ. the volume is so low I cannot hear what I want to hear. Otherwise the rest is fine.
JA: What's the make/model of your device? How old is it?
Customer: Amazon,kindle fire, two yrs. old
JA: How long has this been going on? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: two weeks at least. looked for volume control . there is a volume button on the back. thats all I could fund. its up to max.
JA: Anything else you want the ereader expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: Is this a warranty thing or do I just have to forget it and get a new one?

I am sorry to hear that you are having this issue.

This may be caused by a glitch in the firmware and can be resolved by a forced reboot, then your kindle will work normally again. Slide or press and hold the power switch for 20 seconds, then release. Then check. Let me know the results please.
