Pearl, I use Kindle for PC on my laptop. When I began a few years ago, when I entered a book into a collection it was removed from the library. That meant that only unread books appeared in the library. I can still enter books into a collection but they remain in the library. Is there a way to have them only in the collections if I want to keep them on the PC?
JA: What's the make/model of your device? How old is it?
Customer: A toshiba laptop, about 4 years old. I don't know what model.
JA: How long has this been going on? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: Probably about 2 years and so far I have just put up with it, but it is irritating and I would like to change it.
JA: Anything else you want the eReader expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: that is the main thing. I was told very slow connection is probably just a very busy website

I will be glad to assist you with this.

In order to do that you will need to remove the book from the device, it will still remain in your kindle library in the kindle cloud.

Follow these steps please>try opening the Kindle for PC app, finding the book in question, and right clicking on the title. Choose Remove from Device from the menu that pops up.
