I had to reset my Kindle as the screen was freezing when I tried to download new books.
JA: What's the make/model of your device? How old is it?
Customer: It's the basic model, the one before paper white. After the reset, although my books are still there, Kindle says that I have no registered credit card, and I cannot register a new one as I do not remember which email address I used when I bought the Kindle 3-4 years ago.
JA: How long has this been going on? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: It just happened today. No troubleshooting so far as none of the Kindle tips or commenst on the internet seemed relevant.
JA: Anything else you want the eReader expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: I registered the Kindle in the UK and am now on holiday in France, but downloading new books has always worked here in the past.
