I have five books on my Kindle and can't access them to get

I have five books on my Kindle and can't access them to get one to read. When I open Kindle I can see the 4 or 5 books for a second but all that remains on the screen is the first book I read. How do I access the other books?
JA: What's the make/model of your device? How old is it?
Customer: It's a mini iPad bot 2 year ago.

Was able to access books a year ago.
