JA: How long has this been going on?
Customer: The last 2 hours
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: uninstalling and reinstalling Kobo desk top

Hi there,

First, you must select Manage Library otherwise Kobo Desktop will not see your eReader and will not sync your books.

  1. Launch Kobo Desktop.
  2. Plug your eReader into your computer using the USB cable.
  3. If your eReader is charged, you should see two options: Manage Library and Keep Reading.
  4. Select Manage Library.
  5. Your device will appear in the eReader tab of Kobo Desktop.
  6. Click Sync to transfer your books to the eReader.
