i have a kindle 3 and did not update. it shows i am on wireless network but unable toconnect to store. what can i do?

This is usually an issue with the Firmware, so I would first like you to do this please.

Remove the charger from the Kindle and hold the power button to off for 35 seconds.

Release, then connect the charger and try to turn on the Kindle and access the store

From Home, press the Menu button, and then select Settings. You will see the current software version at the bottom of the screen.

You have the Kindle Keyboard 3G (Free 3G + Wi-Fi)

You need to start on the step

  • If you have software version 3.3, update to Software Update 3.4 first.

And follow the steps to update the Kindle which you do via your computer
