As I shut down my Kindle, I received the message "An Error

As I shut down my Kindle, I received the message "An Error has occurred" and to contact Kindle support. The device is almost fully charged. When I attempt to turn it on, the green power light will come on briefly, then turn off. If I hold the switch on, the display may go blank or change another display.

Please press and hold the power switch for 40 seconds until the device resets.

Once 3 minutes passes if it has not come back on, please try to turn it on normally and let me know if it is working.
