Customer Question

I just purchased a new kindle paper white reader because my other kindle died. I did create a new account as I didn't remember my old password. How do I get the books that I had on my old kindle transferred to this new one?

Hi there and welcome

All the books are linked to your Amazon account, so you need to register the Kindle with the original Amazon account in order to get access to your books.

First, reset your password ***** your old account via my link below

Once done, then reset your Kindle via the below instructions.

  1. Tap Menu→Settings.
  2. Tap Menu→Reset Device.
  3. When you see the warning, tap Yes. (To back out without resetting, you'd tap No.) Your Kindle Paperwhite resets.

And register it with the existing account, not this new one, and your books will then again be available.

Let me know how you go please.

Thank you
