We just received our Kindle Fire. In the process of starting

We just received our Kindle Fire. In the process of starting it up last night, we apparently put in a password XXXXX before knowingly putting in our intended password. Consequently, now when we try to put in our intended password XXXXX start up we get the message that we have the wrong password. How can we get rid of the unintended, accidentally put in password XXXXX replace it with our intended password.?

I think it is the Kindle password, because it was the very first action we tried to do with our new kindle

Ok Charles, please follow the steps below.


1. On your computer, go to
2. Click on "Your Account" on the top right.

3. Click on "Forgot Password"

4. Reset your password, and choose a new one.

5. Now you can login on the Kindle with the new password

If it doesn't work, you can call Amazon Support Team and they should be able to reset it for you. You can call them at 1-888-280-4364
