Let's try to do a quick power reset of your Kindle.
ITCris :
Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds. Then allow about 1-2 minutes for it to load up.
See if your Kindle connects to WiFi.

Done - I show a connection to my WiFi

Great, it was not showing it before we did the restart correct?
Customer:
NOT correct - i have a connection to WiFi the Kindle will just not connect to the WEB. When I ask it to connect to the WEB it just bounces back to the home screen.
ITCris :
OK, can you try it now.
Customer:
It continues to refuse to make a WEB connection.
ITCris :
When you open the browser it goes right back to home screen.
Customer:
Correct - it will not connect to the WEB.
ITCris :
- Open the Fire to the home page
- Tap on the Settings Icon in the top right
- Choose More
- Choose Applications
- Use the Filter By: option and change it to All Applications
- Tap on the Internet App
- Choose Clear Data
- Tap on OK
- Press and hold the power button until the Fire shuts off. Wait about 20 seconds and then turn it back on normally.

Not sure what you mean by the Internet App ? Could it have a different name ? I see the Browser but no Internet App

Sorry Yes browser.

Yes we can try it one more time. If it does not work we will then have to perform a factory reset.

Tried again - same result. Still cannot connect to the WEB.

- Tap the Quick Settings icon, then tap More.
- Tap Device.
- Tap Reset to Factory Defaults.
Customer:
Done - everything erased, Kindle de-registered and re-registered.
ITCris :
Great, once you re-register you will have access to all of your books through the archive section.
