authentication failed when connect kindle fire HD to Verizon

This answer was rated:

authentication failed when connect kindle fire HD to Verizon hotspot.

Was it working previously? Or is this a new kindle?

What's the exact model of the verizon hotspot?

Can you log in the hotspot, so we can configure some settings?

Thank you

I have a 4GLTE Verizon hotspot. It has been charged and is on. Highlighted Network Provider. I have a new Kindle Fire HD which worked the first week, went on vacation, and it is now not picking up the internet even though the Hotspot is next to it.

It shows a lock.

So the kindle was able to connect to the verizon hotspot previously right?

If you have a leather (or any other) cover on the kindle, please remove it.

Please press & hold the power button on the kindle for about one minute, or until the screen flickers. Then wait a few minutes for the kindle to turn back on, and check.

Thank you

Did all you said. Shut down, opened; set hotspot on Wi-Fi; pushed connect on Verizon-890L-493D. Authentication failed.

Are you able to log in the hotspot? thank you

I fixed it myself. Went in and changed security. It is now activated.

Great. Yes, that's what I was trying to do, log in the router and adjust security settings, but I'm glad you got it working. If you have any other electronic or computer question/issue, please let me know any time. Thank you very much
