Customer Question

I just tested positive for an employment drug screen and I got fired. I do not take any drugs. They couldn't tell me what showed as a positive. I do take both Requip, Zoloft, and a BP medication. Could any of these three prescriptions contributed to this false positive?
JA: Is this a time sensitive issue? What type of specimen are they testing?
Customer: what do you mean by time sensitive? urine

It could show false positive on the screening test that is usually done.

Screening tests are not that accurate.

You should request a GC/MS confirmation if that has not already been done.

GC/MS is the gold-standard test for drugs and does not give false results unlike the screening test that is used.
