I dreamed I was a fish in the sea swimming with other fish.

The school of fish you were swimming with represents how you go along with the crowd, the majority in life, you "fit in" and there is nothing wrong with this until the majority goes a bit off 'center' (aren't making smart decisions) - kind of wondering if you were deeply caught up in the recent election. If this isn't it, it may apply to work group, family unit (extended), circle of friends, school mates, etc..

A big fish intruding on a school of smaller fish is usually a very bad sign. The significant part of this in the dream is that you knew better than to stick around. You saved yourself by removing yourself from the group which shows that when you feel strongly about something you'll stand up for it despite what the 'crowd/majority' think or are doing.

Just because the crowd accepts a threat into their midst doesn't mean it's harmless. The 'threat' may be to the overall prosperity, mental/emotional or physical health of everyone

The diver also represents an intruder into the group, but in this case it's not a harmful factor. Still, you have sharp instincts and are of an independent nature - you'd rather be cautious than blindly accepting what those around do without proof of purpose.

The reason the diver isn't a threat is because in reality, if you think about it, a diver surrounded by fish is generally there just to observe, not 'catch' or kill. It's an advanced, step up from what the 'big fish' represents.

Your dream is encouraging you to always stand independently, but acknowledge that you must also conform to a degree. "No man is an island" right?
