I had a dream...

I had a dream last night with my separated husband (we are currently still living in the same house) but sleep in separare bedrooms. I sleep in the children’s bedroom and he sleeps in the master bedroom. In my dream, we come home and notice that there has been broken into the children’s bedroom (where I sleep) through the window next to the bed. It seems as if it has been forded open and missing a piece of glass window. I call my husband to come take a look. The next moment I am looking for my airpods (headphones) that I left on the night table as I was scanning for items missing since it looked like a robbery. But nothing was really missing in the bedroom. No items had been taken away. Somehow her mother also comes at out house and asks what happened and we explain to her what has happened. But me and my husband still being in the children’s bedroom, we start talking, flirting, kissing and he pushes a closet against the door as if to block it so we won’t be disturbed by his mother and our children who are in the other part of the house. After we start kissing, I get images of us passionately kissing on the bed, me on top of him and we start to touch each other and ‘fooling around’. But we hear a knock on the door as if someone is trying to get in the same room. It’s his mother. He walks to the door with the closet blocking the door and says something to his mother as if to wait and comes back to where we were kissing on the bed. Somewhere before all this happened I found my airpods (Headphones) in my handbag, so there were there because I misplaced them. After I have the last images of us kissing again on the bed I can’t recall any other parts from the dream.

There are many schools of thought on the topic of dream interpretation. Some say dreams are subconscious thoughts that our mind wishes to hide. More yet that believe that if you are having a good dream you are thinking positive thoughts that are leading to positive events, and the contrary is also true.

What most schools of thought agree upon is that dreams use a different language- the language of symbols and to better understand your dream I would like to know how you were feeling in the dream during what happened.

I can not really recall how precisely I was feeling for the whole dream. But I think I was feeling scared/surprised for the part where I discover the window was broken into and joyful and aroused for the part when we were kissing.

More yet that believe that if you are having a good dream you are thinking positive thoughts that are leading to positive events, and the contrary is also true. Your subconscious may be looking for ways to process your emotions for your husband.. there is initally a sense of loss in the dream shown by the break-in, then there is the passion part, which is something you are saying goodbye to and maybe there is an element of exploration in that and of course the last part of hiding it from others... may include the need to hide some of these feelings and work through them on your own. It may seem confusing but this is all very normal and just a means that your emotional processing system is working.
