From the dream content, it would appear that you may be experiencing some worry thoughts about whether you have prepared your children for what may be coming in the future, if you have failed them in some regard, or if you could have done more to protect them regarding a recent incident. The end of the dream may be associated with your mind trying to tell you that have done what you can, or that they are prepared for whatever is coming; as they were alive in the end and made it through whatever barrier they were/or will be encountering.
