I had a vivid dream about a child commiting suicide that woke me from my sleep completely distraught.

Well. I was in a house and I noticed as I was passing a room, I was a young girl ( between 8-10yrs old) Sitting outside of her bedroom window sobbing. I entered the room and encouraged her to come in because it was raining. I was so concerned that I actually lifted her, with my hands under her armpits to bring her back into the house.I tried to console her by saying something encouraging to her like - Tomorrow things will get better or something like that. I was rushing to take someone to an appointment or a school function and i was running late. So I left her and rushed out. I wished that I had taken her with me or had a few more seconds to say something more impactful but I was late. On my way to wherever I was going I thought to myself, I hope she is still there when I get back because I was only just dropping someone off. So I dropped off the young boy/child and began rushing back to the house to see if she was all right. When I got to the house I ran upstairs and saw that the window was still open and when I looked down, there she was.... OMG... I was so upset. So upset it woke me out of my sleep with those feelings as if it had actually happened.

I am a mother, I have a real heart for children. I work in probation with broken adults in crisis. I have a daughter, she's 24. I don't know what would cause me to dream like this.
