I assure you, you are doing the right thing, praying for all them, the family and your friend from your past.
I do believe that this dream was given to you to be a intercessor for him, for him to appear in your doorway looking extremely happy may be showing you that this will be the end result when he is lifted by prayer, and held up during this time that needs help.
A lot of the times when people are going through tough things in their life, prayer is the only thing that may help them out because it works on the supernatural level and gets to the roots of what is causing all the problems.
If it is only dealt with on the natural level, the problem just keeps reoccurring.
Please continue to pray for him and his family of course, but narrow in on him as he seems to be the focus. I will join with you on your prayers for him.

Okay, so I'm at this party with a girl that I used to be friends (so that's odd to me) we're dressed fairly nice. We're walking through rooms and I see this guy that I just stopped seeing ( because he found out I'm a dancer) at a bar. I'm trying to get him to notice me. Well old friend of mine had a drug problem and I was helping her look for what she wanted, so we're walking through a lot of rooms. I see people from my past their as well. Which is odd because I haven't seen them in years. Some since high school. We find our way back to the bar and he's gone. I'm disappointed and I think everyone is trying to cheer me up about. I somehow end up outside and I get a text or call from my sister stating “mama said you need to get home by 1. There's a huge storm coming.” She then send me a video of a weather screen that shows an insane storm coming from the right of the states. I somehow end up in a home with a completely random family. I'm in what I'm assuming is my room and I look out the window. There are huge waves slowly making there towards the town. Like big enough that we'd all be under an ocean soon. I feel anxious. I then see below water is seeping in under the doors down stairs. The wife says to the husband we should go to your mothers. I remember searching frantically for my passport, my I'd, and my birth certificate (this probably means nothing, I was reading about disasters on the cdc website). I then began to see crazy wind and hail beating against the window. All I know is that we got away I just don't know how.
