If this is a dear and close friend of yours, it is definitely possible to have dreamt these on her behalf.
The dream's imagery can be seen in symbolic rather than literal terms. Most likely your subconscious mind is picking up on something that she's dealing with. These are persecutory dreams in nature. She may be struggling with having to defend herself against others i.e. family, coworkers, other individuals. The fact that you're present in the dreams to protect her (help her) is indicative that she may need help to overcome a situation that is anxiety provoking to her. Persecutory dreams often manifest when there is a high level of anxiety/stress in that person's life. In this case, since you're dreaming this on her behalf, it would apply to her.
The help/assistance needed by her may be anything from encouragement to giving her advice/feedback or being there for her for emotional support. It may also mean taking a stand on her behalf if you know that someone is upsetting her/troubling her.
The dream's imagery of her being attacked can also relate to any external situation that can be potentially injurious but not literal indication of her death or being stabbed.
Another thing to think about is whether or not this friend had become too reliant on you and you're in a codependent relationship. In these dreams, you perceived yourself as dying while trying to protect her. Could it be possible that by giving too much of yourself you're losing a part of you somehow and enabling her?
