I have had this dream...

I have had this dream many times. For about 2 weeks I was having it every night. Then I started praying about it every night and they stopped. One night a couple of days ago I didnt pray and it came back but stronger and a new twist. But the dreams go like this.

I get this sensation that either a cat or other animal or a person jumps into my bed and is rubbing back and forth against my back very hard. and I sense the foot of my bed jumping like something jumping into my bed over and over. Then this last time the same sensations are happening but this time a girl jumps on top of me. It was not sexual in any way, So the next night I prayed about it again and I woke up probably 4 or 5 times because I started feeling the dream coming back. What the heck could something as stupid as this mean?

There are situations during which the brain produces these sort of sensations (literally you feel what you've described) If these dreams take place at the onset of sleep they are called hypnogogic hallucinations and if they take place as you wake up, hypnopompic hallucinations.

Trazadone has sedating effect so it is possible that it is causing the brain to manifest these dream senstaions. Of course, these can occur w/o the medication as well. If you have not tried more natural alternatives to sleep such as Melatonin, Magnesium, or Lemon Balm you can see if these work for you as they induce sleep and promote relaxation.

The dreams do not always have a meaning behind them (as sometimes these are just recycled byproduct of the brain)

If there is meaning, it would be examined in the context of your life. The fact that these figures were jumping/rubbing draws attention to something that you ought to pay closer attention to in your life. It may be something minute or something bothersome. During sleep, your brain is trying to sort this out and the images come up (and actually jump up to get your attention. When you prayed about this, in a way you may have used your own lucid dreaming to halt the dream images.
