I am Dr. Snow, and I can try and help you. Can I have some more information about the puppy?
Ok thats good; Sleeping in a crate is fine. I think if he can hear you at night it could create more wake ups for him.
He is probably going to vocalize in the crate at first. You an try covering it with a blanket to help him sleep. Try to take him out to potty every few hours at first.
Ah yes, that is frustrating when you also need to worry about neighbors. Try a white noise machine and covering the crate. If you don't have a white noise machine you could try leaving the tv or radio on for him.
It gets better with time and consistency!
I know its a bit stressful and exhausting at first. To be clear, there is nothing wrong with having him in th same room with you. I find most of the time, it increases the wake ups, but if thats what works for you, then thats ok too!
