This looks like Addisson's disease.

To prove it, your veterinarian should run an ACTH stimulation test.

If the test is confirmatory, then it should be quite easy to treat with a long acting injectable mineralcorticoid monthly, and Prednisolone daily.

Here is some information about Addisson's disease.

The anemia is a red herring.

The real culprit is likely the imbalance of Sodium and Potassium

Customer
ok. is cushings disease also a possibility? thanks for your help. the acth is scheduled for this morning , ill let you know how it goes.
Customer
scratch that last question. i was informed it is the opposite of cushings disease.

Right - Cushing's is too much cortisol, and

Addisson's is not enough.

Please let me know what they find on that ACTH stim test. I am very interested to know.

Customer
Hello. it looks like on 5/11 they gave him Cortosyn for Cushings, also Percorten for Addisons. does that make sense?
Customer
he was diagnosed with Addisons.

The Cortrosyn was used to make the diagnosis of Addisson's disease, and the Percorten was given to treat it.
