Hi, my name is***** a licensed Veterinarian with over 37 years of clinical experience and I'm here to help you and Ruby tonight. I hope you haven't been waiting long. Was the cough drop a sugar free cough drop? Is xylitol listed as one of the ingredients?

Customer
Sugar free yes
Xylitol No

That is very good news! What is the artificial sugar used in the drops?

Customer
Corn starch and eucalytus oil

Ok, good, they are nontoxic and Ruby should be just fine

Customer
Ok Thank you

My pleasure, always nice to give customers good news! Thank you for reaching out tonight, take good care :)

Customer
Is there a ything I need to do
Customer
Anything else i need to do

I recommend giving her a Tums or Pepto Bismol as the menthol can give them a stomach ache and cause vomiting. Do you have Tums or Pepto?

Customer
No

Ok, you could mix up @ 1 teaspoon of baking soda and add a small amount of water then give the mixture orally using a small syringe or an eye dropper, that would soothe Ruby's stomach as well

Customer
Ok Thanks

You bet, anytime
