Hi, my name is***** Thank you for your question. I am happy to help as much as I can at this time.
You’ve asked an interesting question. What is going on with this little one? What is her name? Was she diagnosed with a hernia by a vet?
Customer
To be honest, Russia, is as happy as could be and seems perfectly healthy. She's had a vet visit and vaccinations and is eating, pooping and playing fine– apart from frequently urinating in the house (not fully housebroken and not keen on weeing outside), she is a wonderful pet.context behind my question is that the previous owner (not breeder) has told me Russia has an "inner hernia" and offered to take her back in exchange for a full refund. the previous owner hasn't given me any documents, vet reports or anything to prove anything is wrong with the puppy and only told me about this medical issue a few days after I bought her.I am contemplating taking Russia to get further tests done but I would rather not unless i feel it's necessary. I think the seller is suffering from sellers remorse and regrets selling the puppy– which I sympathise with.the issue is that Russia was bought to be bred at some point in the future following the necessary health checks.

I'm doing a bit more research into inner hernias and nothing fits. I was wondering if you could shed some light on this medical issue (if it exists), and what the immediate side effects or symptoms would be and how it can be diagnosed.

Interesting. I'd love to see an actual veterinary office visit report on this as I'm not sure exactly what the previous owner had done / understood correctly. To be very honest, this just doesn't sound like there is very much "information" to prove any "inner hernia" situation. The nature of the term hernia is the passing of something (organs, momentum) through a defect in another tissue (diaphragm, body wall, etc..). If nothing is seen on the outside as far as a bulge or something that is reducible, then could there be an internal diaphragmatic hernia? Again, only going to be diagnosed with x-rays / ultrasound and you'd think that the previous owner could easily provide this information if you asked for it.

Customer
would there be symptoms of internal diagrammatic hernia and would this not be something that would need to be operated on as an emergency as opposed to waiting it out for months?
The diaphragmatic hernia could be something that is not clinical for a long time. The last one I saw wasn't diagnosed till the dog was pregnant at 4 years of age.
