Good morning and thank you for contacting Just Answer. My name is***** and I am here to help!
Any hives? Itching of the skin?
Vomiting and/or diarrhea can be caused by many things, including getting into the trash, ripping up
toys and consuming parts of them, intestinal parasites, and many other conditions. If your pet is acting normally, resting the GI tract by feeding a bland diet (white meat cooked chicken, no skin or bones, and cooked white rice) may be all that is necessary. However, if your pet is acting like he/she does not feel well, a visit to your veterinarian should be made ASAP. You veterinarian may want to perform blood tests, x-rays, stool exams, or other tests to determine WHY your pet is sick. You pet may also require various treatments like fluid therapy for dehydration, anti-nausea medication and anti-diarrhea medication. Do not use human over the counter medications in your pets without talking to your veterinarian first, as many medications might be harmful to our pets.
BLAND DIET:
1. Boiled White Rice
2. Canned chicken or chicken baby food
3. Greek vanilla or plain yogurt, this is a great probiotic to get the GI tract back to normal.
1 cup rice; 1 cup chicken; 1/2 cup yogurt: Feed as a meal, feed 3 meals per day for 2-3 days of just the bland diet, no other foods, treats or chews, and then gradually mix in the regular kibble over an additional 2-3 days.
See your vet if any of the following appear:
Lethargy
Decreased appetite
Straining to poop with nothing coming out
Pacing/panting/can't get comfortable
Uncontrollable vomiting or diarrhea
Signs continue after withholding food
Ok thank you for the information

Have a safe week!
You are right, it does look like a possible allergic reaction. How much does he weigh?
Just want to ensure we are still connected!
You can administer 25 mg of Benadryl every 12 hours to see if this helps with the skin issues and also give a warm bath to settle the skin.
Great signs!
Anytime!
