Customer: Laying around not excited like usual walking kinda wobbly
JA: I'll do all I can to help. How long has the dog been lethargic? Any changes in appetite?
Customer: Not eating and he was like this last night and then seemed fine today usually activity level barking at strangers at door and now he’s back to laying around not really doing much
JA: Could he have eaten something unusual?
Customer: he was digging in the side of the yard so I suppose I checked for injuries and he doesn’t whimper or anything
JA: And what's the dog's name and age?
Customer: Buster 10
JA: Is there anything else the Vet should know before I connect you? Rest assured that they'll be able to help you.
Customer: not that I can think of

Your dog’s symptoms could mean several things. The only way to know is to take your dog to the vet for testing. Go to your vet today if you can. If you can’t, all you can do is give supportive care and see if your pet improves with time.

If you can't take your pet to the vet, try giving Pepcid once every 12 hours in case of an upset stomach. You can buy it over the counter at any human drug store. Give 10mg for every 20 pounds of body weight. Here is a video showing how you can give a pill to your dog. Then wait for an hour or 2 and give 1 cup of Pedialyte/Gatorade/Chicken Broth orally with a bulb syringe or turkey baster once every 8 hours if your dog is not drinking.

Wait a few more hours then try to get your pet to eat with a favorite treat. You can make gruel by soaking their food with warm water for 5 minutes and mixing it up. Then spoon-feed your pet. Also, you can try feeding your pet someNutri Calfor nutritional support. Or you can try feeding chicken-flavored baby food for now. Finally, you can try homeopathic things like CBD oil from your pet store. However, these don’t always work. If those things don't help, let me know, or go to a vet. Do you have any questions about what I said?

Customer
No thank you I had already started those things so we will see how he feels tomorrow and take it from there

You are very welcome. I wish I could do more. Let me know if you need more help. You can still chat with me later. Thank you for using Just Answer.
