Hello! Welcome to Just Answer! My name is***** please give me a moment while I check your conversation with Pearl. May I have your name please?
Hi Lourica! I am happy to help you with this question. I understand how important an answer is to your question, so I will work on this for you until it is resolved.
Thank you for providing me the information. First, may I please know if Chester had any food within 3 hours to eating the gel?
Thank you very much! Have you observed any nausea signs such as excessive lip licking, drooling, or swallowing multiple times?
This will be OK regarding any serious toxicity concerns. The amount swallowed is less than the toxic limit and will not cause any problems of internal organ injury. Therefore, this is not an emergency and no immediate treatments are required. It is recommended to monitor for signs of vomiting and nausea such as excessive lip licking, drooling, or multiple attempts to swallow. Nausea is usually self-limiting and does not typically require treatment, but you may give an over-the-counter antacid such as 2.5 mg of famotidine (i.e. Pepcid AC) or omeprazole (i.e. Prilosec) if needed. That amount is equal to 1/4 tablet of famotidine. If no signs are seen after 6 to 8 hours, then no further monitoring is necessary.
It is my pleasure! Do you have any other questions about this for now?
Please let me know if you have any other questions. If you have any follow up questions, please reply here and I will be happy to assist you.
This is Dr. Perry again from Just Answer. I am just checking in to see how things are going and if you have any other questions. You do not need to respond if you do not have any questions.
