Customer: I have a 12 year old ***** ***** terrier. He is prescribed vetmedin 2.5 mg capsule twice daily. I gave him his morning dose, then my dad gave him a second morning dose. Today he is very anxious/restless and is barking and panting a lot. It has now been over 12 hours, what should I do? I'm not going to give him his night dose.

They thankfully have gotten better and he is now sleeping

the dose that Gimley received is just outside the therapeutic range for this drug but was likely the cause of the signs that you observed
Fortunately the levels of this drug in his blood are declining, which is why he has improved
I think you are fine to skip the dose this evening and resume normal dosing tomorrow
