Thank you for reaching out to JustAnswer. This is Dr. Lindsey, I have over 24 years experience in the Veterinary field including 8 years as a practicing Veterinarian. I understand how important your pet is to you and entrusting me as part of their care.
Veterinary laws prohibits me from making a diagnosis or prescribing medications without a physical examination of your pet, but I will make my best recommendations based on the information you give me.

I am sorry that Major is not feeling well. Can you tell me if he is vomiting, loss of appetite, lethargy?
Your pet may have a gastroenteritis or gastritis from eating things that are irritating. This can include a sudden change in diet and treats, getting human food, and/or eating something outside.
Recommendation: It is always BEST to see the veterinarian as they can make sure nothing is serious, find and address any underlying cause, and get your pet feeling better the quickest. If you are unable to go to the vet you can choose to try the following GI protocol which many dog owners find helpful.
Stop your dog’s regular food, treats, chews, and table scraps.
Feed ONLY boiled WHITE rice with 93% lean ground hamburger, chicken breast or TURKEY (boiled, baked, or non-stick skillet). No seasoning.
Gradually transition back to your dogs regular food, over the course of a few days, once your pet has had TWO normal well formed stools in a row.
If the diarrhea continues, I would get your pet looked at by a Vet. They may want to run a fecal sample to rule out intestinal parasites.
Can I assist you anymore?
I would do it for a couple of days. If he has no appetite, then get him in sooner.
