My aim is to get an initial answer back to you within the next ten minutes.
I am sorry to hear about Ginger's problem, I know that you must be very concerned. Hopefully, we can get this resolved quickly.
1. This is usually no problem, non-toxic frogs and toads for that matter are able to excrete a slight toxin from their skin which is bitter and designed to make animals that have picked them up drop them at once and so the frog escapes.
This toxin would make your dog foam at the mouth and salivate and you may see vomiting as well, also coughing is possible because of the salivation. But with a non-toxic species, this will quickly pass. So all you need do here is to flush out Ginger's mouth with lots of water and the situation will normally correct itself within an hour or so.
2. However, you should be aware though that in some parts of the world including parts of the USA toads can be poisonous and toad poisoning can be very serious or even life-threatening, if this is what is going on in your case then your dog will be showing progressively worse symptoms { This will be very obvious } and you should then take your dog to an ER vet without delay.
