Is there a fee for using this service? So my one-year-old
Ok, so my one-year-old Shih Tzu has been sick for a few days now. He has constant diarrhea but not very much comes out. He has one large, semi-solid potty that comes around 2-3 am but all others are very small and liquid. The large one is a dark chocolate colored while the others are greenish-brown with sometimes mucous that are painful and small long strands, watery. We have taken him to the vet twice. He is negative for Giardia, parvo, and corona. He has no other parasites in his stool. The fecal test showed some grease and the second one showed small amounts of red blood cells. We have been prescribed several medications, but he has yet to recover. The first vet prescribed Pepto-Bismol, trimebutine, and dimethicone. The second vet prescribed metronidazole, omeprazole, sucralfate, tramadol, and a GI Royal canned wet food diet for a week. He has had this since Thursday, and we are worried that the vet's are missing something. He is weak and trembly before he needs to poop, and he cannot retain the food well, it is painful for him to poop during the day, and sometimes he tries but nothing comes out but a little liquid, he is always sitting or laying with his tail tucked in. He lost weight before we gave him his GI wet food, and it gave him a little bit more energy back. He does not sleep at night because he is constantly worried he will poop in his kennel, we take him out three times during the night. this morning he vomited a little bile yellow. … read more

Earlier today had somewhat solid poop but it was soft. Last night after a meal apparently ate a small piece of the top tip of a corn cob. Took to vet late last night / early this morning and they induced vomiting but he only dry heaved. Appetite and energy levels pretty normal … read more
