Can you measure his blood sugar at home?

Is he drinking less water or than usual?

The only way to know for sure whether to give insulin is to measure his blood sugar. If you can't do this at home, you could have it done by a veterinarian.

Otherwise we just have to guess, and I to be on the safe side, I would not give insulin tonight. He may need the insulin, but it is safer not to give it, if you can't measure his blood sugar.

I would feed him his normal meal.
