My 7 month old Goldendoodle was in the hospital for a few
my 7 month old Goldendoodle was in the hospital for a few days. I was told she had a mass in her left lung and bacterial pneumonia. Today, the vet told me it was kennel cough that was causing this. What she told me was that I either had to 1. Have her have surgery to remove the mass (lung lobe) or 2. She'll be on injrctable anti-biotics for months that may not clear it. I'm hesitant to do the surgery, but she says the antibiotics are so aggressive that they could cause more issues. She's only 7 months old, everything I have read about kennel cough days it is treatable. So I'm wondering, have you seen cases of this? It's only been 4 days on current anti biotics. I feel like it's too soon to jump to surgery. Should I get a second opinion? … read more
