Is there a charge to ask questions? What could be the final
She is a 10 year old Cavachon, had bladder stones when she was 2. Put on grain free dog kibble and canned food to coincide with food. It was rabbit and she liked it. No longer available. We switched to something else I don't remember, but it was probably i/d from vet. Then July 2016 she had diarrhea for 3 months. I boiled chicked and rice and vet finally decided it was the i/d kibble so changed it to a different i/d kibble. She also gets 1 dental bone a day for teeth and the Milk Bone little hot dog treats which seem to add to the diarrhea so I've cut down to 1-2 a day. Well, I diarrhea is back, she got meds for 5 days and it was better, but stool soft, no longer firmer. Then diarrhea was back so I brought stool sample to vet and next day they said there was nothing. Very next day there was blood in stool but not throughout, more on the sides and sort of mucous. Friend is an ER nurse, and she said it was probably intestinal or colon irritation. I was leaving for 6 days in Florida the next day. Dog sitter gave her chicken and rice for 3 days and then added small amount of kibble. I truly believe the kibble is the problem but don't know which one to select. Sweet potato in a lot and that would also make her stool loose. What would you all suggest. Thank you. … read more
