I have a 60lb 1 1/2 year. Old golden retriever who chewed on
old golden retriever who chewed on a bottle of acetaminophen today. They are 500mg noncoated tablets that he got out of my bag. The bottle was originally a 100 count that I took an unknown amount of. After returning home I found 73 tablets on the ground. I'm a physician assistant so I totally get Tylenol toxicity in humans so I was worried about moving forward. I see that typical toxicity in dogs is 100mg/kg so he would have had to ingest about 6 oval tablets. My concern is my vet is a chain vet, so any call is forwarded to the local emergency room in the city. I'm wondering if I need to spend about 3000 to take him to get a level drawn.
